Torque required to launch a tennis ball

I'm using another type of 12 V motor (here's the link to it on eBay) that has 1.2 Kg of torque and 3000 rpm speed. I used two 5 inch diameter plastic wheels and tested how far the two motors can launch the ball. At about 45 degrees of angle, it can shoot the ball ~22-23 meters. I hope this info helps!

Ball Milling - an overview | ScienceDirect Topics

Ball milling is a way to exfoliate graphite using lateral force, as opposed to the Scotch Tape or sonication that mainly use normal force. Ball mills, like the three roll machine, are a common occurrence in industry, for the production of fine particles. During the ball milling process, there are two factors that contribute to the exfoliation.

WATCH: Kyle Berkshire Crushes Ball Speed World Record

Forget Bryson, Kyle Berkshire is the real speed king. On the back of Bryson announcing a new personal best 221 MPH ball speed, Kyle just had to go out and show why he's a two-time WLD champion. In a video posted to Instagram, Berkshire recorded a new record; 233.4 MPH, over 10 MPH more than the TOURs longest hitter.

The Average Speed of a Baseball | SportsRec

The average speed of a baseball varies greatly according to the circumstances. The speed of a ball after it is hit depends on the weight of the bat and the momentum of the swing. The average speed of pitched balls depends on the type pitch, including fast balls and curve balls, and the pitcher.

Top speed of a pickleball smash? : Pickleball

Apparently the top speed of a baseball pitch is approximately 100 MPH (45 m/s). The max recorded speed of a tennis serve was around 157 MPH (70 m/s). The top speed of a golf ball drive is approximately 170 MPH (76 m/s). And yes, I am aware there's a lot more to pickleball than ball speed. I'm just curious.

Baseball Aerodynamics

Interestingly, the data also show very little variation in distance for backspin rates in the range 2200-3200 rpm. An important conclusion is that variation in fly ball distance is due much more to ball-to-ball variation in the drag (for example, due to small differences in surface roughness) than to variation in spin.

Maximum Speed of Ball Screw – DipaliB

The maximum rotational speed of the ball screw assembly (RPM) depends on the diameter of the screw, the length of the screw and the configuration of the support housing. This is the point where the rotational speed of the ball screw creates excessive vibration within the assembly. The maximum speed should not be exceeded as…

Dropping a ball and calculating its speed. | Physics Forums

Not "speed" of gravity, acceleration due to gravity. If the acceleration is -9.8 m/s^2 then the speed after t seconds is v= 9.8t+ v0 (v0 is the initial speed and I am taking positive downward) and then the distance traveled is s= 4.8t^2+ v0t. Since the ball is "dropped" the initial speed is 0 so we have v= 9.8t and s= 4.8t^2.

PHYSICS OF BOUNCE

The problem is more complicated than one might expect. There is a vertical force N, called the normal reaction force, which acts to change the vertical speed of the ball, and there is a horizontal friction force, F, that acts to change the horizontal speed of the ball. In addition, F exerts a torque on the ball that changes its rotation speed.
